Chino's Dreads: Why did he shave them shits back in tha day?

Was his hair falling apart? What happened? they seemed to go away like overnight. Anyone have the scoop? I could never understand it. I think maybe he just grew them because of Bad Brains. Any thoughts?

Hahaha Hey bro your preaching to the choir, my bass player still has dreads and calls himself a hippie, even though he only listens to metal and fights anyone who looks at him wrong. I fucking hate dreads more than anything but I was just wondering if anyone knew when exactly they were erased from Chino's head. lol
