It's not bad for what it is. I've been enjoying it Patiently waiting on Loathe to do finally drop new music as well. But I am ready for the real thing. Yep! I had no idea it was Bruno Mars when I first heard them. I love some Motown, disco and funk. Silksonic came through one day on Spotify and I immediately hearted it and showed it to my wife. "Honey, check out this new band called Silksonic. They do this Motown thing with a sprinkle of comedy and it's so good!"

I press play on the track "Leave The Door Open".

She just starts laughing and said something to the effect of 'You're probably the last person with the internet to hear that song. That is Bruno Mars. Look at how many listens it has."

So yeah, that was funny. Almost exact same thing happened when I thought I "discovered" Dua Lipa's album Future Nostagia (the only pure pop album I have enjoyed in like a decade). Sorry I got way off topic.

I had a dream they where in studio playing beer pong, and they were all having fun listening to thr new album. They where under like purple lights purplish blue. Stef was rocking out on guitar playing the new songs

Listened to the interlude off the Chicago video, which was almost a solid 2 minutes. It kinda sounds like accordion?? Heard a sample with echo before Chino started playing Cherry Waves

I'm going to say if we don't get a tease or single off the new album between April 9 and the end of may, it's going to be a longggg 7 months of waiting.

Yeah same, I considered for a second it may be just Frank setting the mood before the encore but he's not onstage. It sounds like it's part of a bigger tune so I don't think it's an interlude they made for the sake of the tour either. Prob new Deftones

It sounds like some feedback from Stefs guitar with some ambient noises from Frank. Sounds like a build up

I don't know why, but that idea that this might be their last album starts to make some sense in my soul...

I feel that with Sergio leaving and all the Stef shit including him not playing overseas anymore... maybe things don't feel the same anymore for the guys...

And now with this idea of trying to capitalize as much as possible with these tours...

Maybe they end with a bang with the last album and leave it at that.

I've been saying it for a long time. Just a feeling, but exactly what you said is what has been in my mind for at least 6 months.

But.....maybe do this album, and then end with a "moancore" album to appease the Tiktokers and cash out a nice final paycheck. That would be optimal!

I go back and forth with that. Maybe they are bored by it, but at the same time, the $$$ they made on this tour might be too good to just walk away from. Or maybe they stop putting albums out after this one and just become a permanent arena band. They realistically could just do that for the rest of their careers. Most of the fans probably don't want to hear new stuff at shows anyway, they want Change and Sextape.

I also still think releasing Eros will be their swan song.

Touring and the old songs are where the money has been since the resurgence obviously.. The streams for the last two albums pale to their older work. I wonder if there is pressure from the label to make a more "streamable" album? The boys would probably be really fucking turned off by any kind of outside influence on what their music should sound like. But.....I'd bet money whenever the first single drops, it will be the prettiest, dreamiest song on the album.

I pray we get Eros, or even whatever exists of it.. I genuinely do not care if some songs are fully done, while others have like, a verse completely vocally and then just instrumental the rest of the way. *That* would never happen. But a man can wish. I know Terry mentioned he wanted to finish it just in case Chino decided to do vocals. But I just don't know if Chino would be willing to go back to that period of time and try to force that music to resonate with him. Then again, I don't know Chino or any of these people so I do not know what they think lol.
