Every album has a certain vibe. Both Diamond Eyes and Ohms in my opinion have an "invigorated" type of sound.

When he was asked if there would be anything new or any surprises on the new album, it was like he was caught off guard. I get a strong feeling the answer was "No, just a banger Deftones album again" but he didn't want to say that of course.

I adore every album and practically every song (except "Graphic Nature", can't dig it). I am *all in* on just another Deftones album, don't get me wrong. I shouldn't base my assumptions off an answer to one question he wasn't expecting, but it's fun to speculate. I am thinking this might be a very "safe" album. Also, my prediction is March 2025 release. I'd love to be wrong on that though.

So apparently there's a preorder for something coming in the near future..

preorder.deftones.com domain exists but no site obviously, which means they're sitting on the domain for a reason, considering webhosting isn't free, we can assume this link will be the link to preorder the new album when it's announced.

I googled it and its the same domain they used for Ohms preorders. Watch that space.

I don't think so. It's apparently Butch Vig original material. It sounds like a riff inspired by Deftones, but don't think it's actually them.

In the description of the video "In this recording session, veteran rock superproducer Butch Vig sets up shop in the Foo Fighters Studio 606 to track drums for three original compositions."

BUT... I do think this might be the start of media rounds for stuff... I mean.. it's VERY rare for Abe to come out of hiding just to make a sponsored video for any brands... so maybe we'll start to get trickles of information soon.
