Damone is awful? Fuck off dude, no way you're a deftones fan.

I dont like Damone either. I dont think it's awful, but I think Damone and Head Up are the only two Deftones songs that I never listen to. But some songs frm Adrenaline have only just clicked for me, so maybe in the future they will too.

Please !! Try again !!

only pieces remain

its funny how so many people shit on SNW and Adrenaline...I have this theory, that if you hate Adrenaline and SNW and think Diamoned Eyes is a mastrpiece, you arent a real Deftones fan...Probably just another white pony poser who hopped on board thanks to 'digital bath'....

and btw, KNY has grown on me, its def bettere than DE...but not in the same league as 95-2003 era

wow bro you are so cool

Drummerboy_123

In the lyrics booklet, in graphic nature it says

"How are u trained?"

Grammar error.

Someone must've been doing some texting before writing the lyrics haha.

Also today, I programmed the drums to Entombed cause I've been bored as fuck  ;D
The sky is falling down
The night is calling you
A star is burning out
The sky belongs to you

I love Koi No Yokan, a lot. I saw that some people were saying they skip over Swerve City. I think that song's a fucking banger. The melody in the verses is so cool, I love the vibrato Chino does when he says "voices." It sounds sweet!

Gauze is probably my favorite song right now.

Ya, I guess swerve didnt live up to some people's expectations.  Its not the best track in the world, but I think its a good opener.  I dont find any track to be a skipper.

it may sound ridiculous, but frank's effects/notes in swerve city's verses just make the song beyond catchy, it's too much for me.it would've been catchy without it too, but frank's stuff is like adding syrap on cotton candy. i know those effects aren't much, but they are smudging the whole song for me, even when they're not heard. riff, bridge and the little solo are very good though. it's a good song but less cute i wish

Flowb

I can safely say now that I like every song on the album. Wasn't quite sure of Graphic Nature at first but it's grown on me. Still seem to be drawn to Gauze the most so far.

OMG, the vocal effects ! I realize I sound like a narrow minded Metallica fan, but fuck Nick Raskulinecz

Vocal Delay (delay delay delay delay delay delay delay delay delay delay delay delay delay delay delay delay)is one of the best things about this album. And it's not Nick's "fault" per se - Chino was experimenting with that in Team Sleep and really dug it. It's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

I agree! I love the vocal effect. Plus, if you watch practically any performance of Chino from White Pony ear to now, Chino has delay on his vocals live. He's the only singer I know of that can overuse delay, but it fits his voice so perfectly and just adds to that ever present eerie vibe that Deftones put into a lot of their music.

Well guys and gals, the album has been out. The majority of us have had it for about a week now.
Seems like fuckin YESTERDAY when the leak hit.
Now that it's finally released, time has now officially gone back to flying by faster than the speed of light.
Agree? lol

Yeah same here. When I first obtained the album, it was like a high I've never felt before; or no drug could ever achieve.
I've listened to it non stop, but I've just now kinda gave it a lil break. Not that I'm tired of it, because I still listen to a few tracks here and there the last couple of days. I just felt that I didn't want to run it into the ground.

I'm still pretty much on a non-stop loop =P  I don't even know how many times I've listened to it top to bottom by now... 100? 200? :D

Its these guys saying there hasn't been a true deftones album since self titled fuckin piss me off. Just because you don't like the songs doesn't mean it's not true deftones. Fuck you
There are loads of people who love this sound, and appreciate the fact that they are going in new directions. If you don't dig it, just say that. Don't fucking say this isn't true deftones. Because it is.

I agree. I guess my post was a bit hypocritical. I just get fired up when I see those comments saying new stuff isn't 'true' deftones, when I really like it and enjoy it. It makes it seem like I enjoy fake deftones or some shit. But your right I should just remain tolerant

Let them fight! Let them fight!

I disagree that there hasn't been a real Deftones album since Self Titled. How is that the case? Self Titled had a mix of heavier and softer songs. As did Saturday Night Wrist. As did Diamond Eyes. As does Koi No Yokan....sounds like those are all Deftones records to me.
