Please, explain to me why ATF is a great album. It's brutal. It has some good songs, but it's just so unrefined and basic compared to the diversity that the band has embraced and how nuanced they are as a group now and afterward. 'Damone' is probably the best song on that album.

In all seriousness, it's not my favourite deftones album, but it's damn close. It just has an energy to it.  It's heavy but has a lot of very vulnerable moments. It's a passionate record and that speaks to me.
