I didnt care for Goon Squad at all. I do agree that the album is amazing tho... On all levels.

Decapod you really dont answer questions that help us know if you actually heard the album :/ like lyrics and which ones are easy listeners and which ones are hard :/

Man its going to suck after this comes out then its the longest possible time before the next album which i doubt will be as fast with Chinos side projects etc,don't really mind though Palms is going to be awesome,I think it will be more successful than DE because they had lost alot of their momentum because of the long time between albums before DE, they got the attention of people back with DE and hopefully theyll build on the fans gathered with DE with this.

Algood man thanks for taking the time ,usually with deftones records its impossible to take everything in, in one listen anyway i bet when you hear it again youll pick up stuff you didn't hear the first time lol

I hope not aswell those songs weren't that bad but they seemed like filler,it was like the annoying thing some bands do where were they put an interlude track in and its obvious they trying to stretch it out.

Def filler....lucky you is just....i dunno bland. And the end of pink cellphone with that babbling is just annoying.....I'd rather a 4 minute instrumental piece than anything like lucky you or cellphone

I hope not either cause well i mean lucky you is alright .. i liked his voice on it but ehhh .. its also a deftones tradition in a way but i just hope not .. and if they do .. lets hope its worth the stretch

Def no songs like pink cellphone or lucky you which i happen to love btw. There are some softer songs tho. Rosemary is goddamn incredible, as is Romantic Dreams, Swerve City, What Happened to You?, Tempest and Graphic Nature. In hindsight i wish i would have taken more of the album in, but given the circumstances (about 5 people laughing, talking) it was kinda hard. Upon first listen KNY was incredible.

Feiticeria is also so short but one of my favorite Deftones songs. Chino himself said it was his favorite off WP cos it was so compact and at the perfect length so that it leaves you wanting more.  Swerve City probably gets right into the intensity straight away without a build up, it won't feel as short as you think.

Street carp was also really short not even 3 min long

I noticed self titled is ranked as your fav, can i assume KNY also carries the dark vibe that s/t maintained? Also, vocally what did you notice about Chino that was different from other releases?

I wouldnt say it carries a dark vibe at all. More spacey and otherwordly sounding, not dark. I didn't really notice anything THAT diff in Chino's vocals but his guitar playing def got a million times better.

S/T is my favorite... and that carried a very dark vibe and all. I hope it's close... something like S/T meets DE would be awesome IMO
