Took what I thought would be my last piss test for my DWI yesterday. So last night I went out and had a few drinks. Unfortunately my probation officer just called and said my Urine was diluted (to much water) and that I'd have to retake within 24 hrs. I'm fucked.

How exactly does that work over there. You're not allowed to drink for a set period of time after getting caught drunk driving?

Yeah, I can't drink while on probation. Which for me is 1 year. My probation officer has only tested me 2 times though. So if you want to risk it there's a good chance you'll get away with doing things that don't stay in your system very long.

Had it been said that this would be your last test? if so, and if your year is up or at least close to being up they'd have to be really lame to fuck with you on this. Then again, i have no idea what i'm talking about.

Why did you think this was your last test? Did they say it would be? Or did you just assume it would be because you didn't get tested often? When are you off probation?

The time before I saw him he said I'd have one more test. I've only had one before.
I don't think I could fight it. People get diluted results all the time and have to pay for the diluted test and the new one. It's Bullshit. I'm off probation at the end of September. My PO's a pretty nice guy, and I've been doing everything I'm supposed to do, but I think a failed drug test is one of those things they can't ignore.

On a strictly philosophical level, this really makes me mad. That they can tell people that they can't drink for a year because of a DUI. Drinking isn't a crime, you shouldn't be punished for it. They can't just create crimes out of thin air because you committed a different one (which I don't even believe to be a crime in the first place). Thats such shit. I'm getting pissed just thinking about this. I need to hurry up and go to law school

I was pissed off about it too, but when you're not a lawyer or can't afford one they can dick you around as much as they want cause they know nothings going to happen. I was even told by a friend that asked a judge about people representing themselves in court, and he said they basically are as hard on the person as they can be. Because they know you don't know all the ins and outs of the law.

Oh, my mom and sister live in Waco. I was supposed to be there this week but I decided to stay in DC with my GF. For some reason I thought they were closer. I swear I know someone from Mckinney or something.

Yeah, I think Texas used to be one of the most lax places when comes to drinking and driving, now I think it's the worst thanks to MADD, and the government taking any opportunity to make some extra money.
