It's started already - all the complaints about Diamond Eyes. When it was released it was perfect in everyones eyes, now the dissatisfaction starts spreading - it's like opinions are  contagious here sometimes.
I especially don't understand all the comments about the 8 string. I think it's great. It enabled them to do something different for Diamond Eyes and gives them a sound noone else has. Plus Stef really seems to be enjoying himself which is a good thing.
I personally think it is so awesome, I love the sound of it and can't wait to hear the places Stef takes it to next.
Terry has produced my favourite albums of all time so of course I'd love to see him back.
I really like Diamond Eyes however I'd love to see something darker and less poppy like S/T again. I think this is up to the band though, not Nick.
Having said this, I really don't mind if they choose Nick again.
Diamond Eyes was very crisp and well produced and the thing I like about him is that he really gets the band excited and working quickly - just look at all the energy and good vibes in the Tones camp at the moment. I think that we'll get a new album a lot sooner if NIck is on board.

Team Sleep is really cool but has nothing on Deftones. That's why I'm here afterall.
I'd love to see a new TS album as long as it doesn't get in the way of Deftones in any way WHATSOEVER. It's really secondary to me and there is absolutely no way EVER that I'd want Deftones to take a hiatus in the insterests of TS - That's just MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah a I think it was 50/50 around here. I loved it but it's certainly not perfect.

chino often like to shock when it comes to namedropping but im not reacting anymore. he's been like that throughout the years. bash peers/certain metal bands and praise popstuff. no matter how corny. he thought justin timberlake was awesome too

I think he just dislikes pretense. Justin Beiber isn't trying to break ground with his music, but he's not pretending to either at least. I kind of agree with Chino here--a lot of metal bands take themselves seriously while making some seriously silly, teen-angst-y music; it's pretty embarrassing, and it often makes me feel squeamish. Justin Beiber is just in it to have fun and make little girls giggle, and that's what he's doing--unpretentious and simple. Grown men who hate on Beiber just because he's a successful kid are insecure in my opinion, just let the little guy do what he's doing, lol. If I could have made that kind of money when I was a kid, I would have in a heartbeat, and so would any other sane human being, haha.
