Interesting...... wonder how they will record the next one they talked about and if Nick will produce that one after DE's success. Actually, anyone have a hunch? Anyone hope Terry Date comes back for the next? Just curious about what others think. My only wish is that Steph lays off of the 8 string and goes with 6 and 7. Thanks V, as always homie.

In all seriousness though, we know he can't balance both Deftones rigorous touring schedule and TS (now he's also got THG too!). I don't blame him for that. We're just acknowledging that if they are gearing up for another 'Tones record, TS is really going to be on the back burner. Even more so than before. Once they finish and release LP7, they'll go right back to touring for another two years. Personally, I'd be fine with a Deftones hiatus so he can go focus on TS/THG and Steph could go do Sol Invincto. Maybe also release Eros instead? Just my two cents, though (actually, my opinion is probably worth less than that). Of course, they are obviously feeling reinvigorated as a band, DT is their bread and butter and, at the end of the day, it's their decision to do whatever they want. Just hypothetically musing here.

It all sounds good in any order to me actually. Love all these scenarios. As long as the other members of TS and THG are still down years from now though, Chino would still be physically able to make these sorts of music. Get the Deftones' hard shit out while he physically can (screaming and running around on stage like a raped date) and then continuing his music career until he dies (like he said he would) w these and other projects. deftones announce that they plan to make a new record and everyone begin to talk about how it will affect team sleep? are you guys lost team sleep diehards who have gone astray and stumbled into a deftones page by accident? I would understand these posts more if they were on a team sleep site......but at a deftones board? I can listen to some team sleep once in a while waiting for a new deftones album, but you guys seem to prefer to listen to deftones while a new team sleep is done. deftones fans who want them to take a break? amazing. i say fuuuuuck team sleep.

and what are the faces sergio's doing at 2:45 when chino name drops bands? stop doing those please ^^

They can record with Nick Raskulinexaghagga all they want but it needs more punchy punch on the drums and not a bucket snare.

this eventual record will again, according to chino, be the best stuff they've ever wrote and sound like white pony. stephen needs to step it up this time. he needs to utilize that 8-string beast and rip it apart nicely. stop smoking weed and start writing some cool heavy stuff!

steph stop smoking weed? i think that'd just flat out ruin deftones. he should start smoking more weed! and if anything he needs to go back to the 6 or 7 string.

Where exactly did all this hate for the 8 string come from?

i like the 8 string a lot more than the 7 string. i prefer 6 strings over either, but i doubt he'd ever go six again. i want him to keep using the 8 string, and be more creative with it
