if deftones were doing the same thing over and over i wouldn't still be a fan. i heard that stuff, i want new stuff and they deliver. i'm definently intrigued.

Hmmm, honestly I'm not that impressed. It feels VERY radio friendly and almost sounds like something a band like Chevelle would make. Not really feeling the Deftones on this. Guess we will have to wait to hear more.

Concerning to this 30 second snippet umm..I don't like the chorus, mainly because I hate how the final part of it sounds. I do like the verse (frank is putting some lovely textures, plus Steph's 8string is finally in action).
I don't see why some of us SL members argue about Which song has the deepest pussy... I didn't like this one that much, but I'm happy some of you are enjoying it. Deftones is quite multifacetic. Many loves them for some reasons and some for others, as simple as this.

I've probably listened to it 100 times already.  The chorus is perfect.  Only the deftones can make a heavy song so beautiful.  And I definitely hear some piano or keyboard.  Shit is KILLER!

it's the single cover. but don't recognize it.

I feel ashamed to admit that I am not feeling excited about this. Deftones don't make songs like this. To me, Chino's style is intrinsically uncatchy. It doesn't hit you in the face, it tends to seduce and grow on you. I know cherry waves is considered to be a favorite for some, but I personally lost interest. Because it got played out. like any other pop song. And I have a feeling Deftones have officially crossed a Pop-Metal threshold. For better or for worse. 

You're just in shock.  Give it time to sink in and let the dust settle.

I'm accepting it for what it is. But I'm done wishing for the golden ages to return.
