Not a fan of this one. Rocket skates is 100x better. IMO this is pure radio pandering, got to have a single for the label garbage. Look at the track length.... Perfect for your fm pleasure.

Granted it's only 30 seconds so I will hold back committing until I hear the whole track... Hopefully if I am right this is the knee shitty track that causes the album to sell a ton, then emo/alterna teen gets home and listens to the rest and is like "fuck, this blows! This album sounds nothing like diamond eyes!!!!"

I love how no matter what, Deftones will always have something new and fresh to bring to their music. yet they always manage to make it sound natural to them and not like some experimental mumbo-jumbo.

All I am saying about track length is that 3 mins is perfect for radio airplay, nothing more nothing less. You guys are reading way too much into what I am saying.

Diamond Eyes is purely grounded in the now from what I heard. It just doesn't have that timeless deftones vibe/sound. Hey, if you are a big Tool fan you gotta be loving it! Deftones pave the way and do thier own thing and have thier own sound. I just don't hear it in this. SNW material sounds way stronger than DE.

Chances are if it's on the radio I don't like it. And what are you guys creaming over? Oooooo finally a radio friendly deftones track!!!! Gay....

I hope I am wrong. If not I hope it is the only "radio track" on the disc...

agreed. hite was really radio friendly. the verse especially. the verse on this one sounds brutal and the chorus is just hedonistic bliss (thanks for that term metal hammer dude). also, according to metal hammer the ending of diamond eyes might be the heaviest shit deftones have EVER done.

completely agree man,  I already consider the deftones on another level when it comes to rock music.  their one of the few bands that can just get together and push their creative limits every time they make music. the song sounds beautiful.
