Thanks Vesanic. I'm glad I get to hear this today, since I won't get a chance tomorrow, albeit it in bad quality but that's OK. I'm really surprised at the amount of bass that MP3 has retained, the HQ version must be like listening to a bomb go off for a few minutes

Haha it really does sound so much like the live version..I like the screams a bit better here though.

Gotta give it a few more listens at work shortly...

That, and I don't know about you guys, but for me the Deftones are an album-band anyways. Sure, the songs are working alone perfectly  too, but when I listen to Digital Bath , I have always in mind what comes right after it, y'know? Elite is not just another simple heavy song, it always has the whole atmo of the rest of the album in it, like a brick of a wall.
So long story short: Yes, RS might be a bit 0815, but it drives me nuts to imagine what the song before and after it will sound like. Nope, I srsly can't wait for the whole album (experience).

I just noticed something... around 0:23 of Rocket Skates I'm hearing the coin sound from Super Mario World.

really hope that rocket skates in album context will  make more sense...

for it...as a standalone song (AND AS A FIRST SINGLE) it sounds a bit "uninspired".....

good production, also good screaming in the chorus...

But if you hear heavy songs like hexagram.... it disappoints

The quality is piss poor. I listened to it once and deleted it. This isn't the right way to hear this song.

it's probably a good example of how the rest of the album will sound too. I can't remember if they meant this album or Eros when they said they hadn't written an album as fast as this since ATF, but in either case that has to apply here considering the short period of time they've had to write and record it. and isn't that what a lot of you want? pretty basic songs on the more aggressive side? I can totally see this album as being a lot more like ATF in song structures and heaviness than any of the other albums.
