Fernando Meirelles. Also director of The Constant Gardener. He's on my list.
Is that movie good, the constant gardner?
I never saw it but I need to and I will. One of my favorite directors + one of my fav actresses should equal success.
i quite like Jim Jarmusch, his movies remind me of my first boyfriend Juan. i love Gus Van Sant more than i can ever explain to anyone. i think Sofia Coppola is pretty good but i think her best movie is yet to come.
cate shortland and john hillcoat are great australian directors. cate is hugely influenced by photographs and i am a photography buff so i love her style. john makes words important by using image. he is unlike no other.
i know i left off a few others but i can't forget Pedro Almodóvar. i've met him and he's an unbelievable man. i told him i loved him in spanish. te amo Pedro.
Brad Anderson
David Fincher
Takashi Miike
George A. Romero

Tarantino and Kubrick are probably my favorites
Chan-wook Park
- Cut (Three Extremes)

And on a side note......... Maybe not a typical film you'd think I'd like but Sophia Coppalas "Virgin Suicides"- I really liked that film. Probably had alot to do with the time, place, and circumstances in which I saw it tho. ;D
Also my 1st intro to Air who did the sndtrk for the film......that takes me back.......
Everyone should pick this gem up.....All you pot-heads should like it. ;)
