This acoustic version of Boy's Republic has been floating online since around the time White Pony was released, as far as I remember.
It sounds VERY similar to the version that you can see Deftones play on the "Live In Hawaii DVD".
But over the years, I've seen some posts here and there that claim this recording is a "just a fan-made cover".
To me, it sounds like it is really Deftones on guitar and the weird ambient "cat screaming" vocal effect sounds like what Chino has done on other songs and live performances.
Does anyone have any evidence or proof that it is really Deftones?
Also, does anyone have a good quality MP3 rip of the "Live In Hawaii DVD" performance of Boy's Republic?
