This has been posted in a private group but maybe I can get help from here. The story popped up in my head after Sly posted some deftones cases pictures. The story is amazing when you think the value of such item in a deftones fan collection. I think the guy I'm talking about was a deftonesworld board member (yes SL was not even created)
Back in 2001 or something some american dude asked me if I wanted a deftones case, I said yes like yeah you're really giving me that. The next thing you know is that a couple of weeks later I get this huge package at my door, heavy as shit. Opened and WOW! I still have it here and it's definitely my most precious deftones memorabilia to date. The story doesn't end here...inside it there were backstage passes from other deftones tours and from Family Values tour. I don't remember who the guy is, it's been more than 15 years. I wish I could talk to this guy again but by then we didnt have gmail, so all my old emails are gone.
I hope I can have a clue of this guy, are you still here?
