There's too many belters on Adrenaline for it to be the worst.

Wow, people hating their first album, the start of everything . It's so raw and agressive . But ok I'm glad they evolved through the years though (and albums).

I picked Adrenaline.  Not because it's "bad," but I do think it's one of the worst.  It's not THE worst, to me, because I think that's Diamond Eyes... But I figured it would be too early for that vote to matter.  I supposed Adrenaline would be my best bet in keeping SNW around as long as possible.  It might be futile, but SNW is my second favorite from them after S/T.

Seriously, do people get the point of this whole thing? You just vote for your least favourite.

GORE.

Not horrible, but too much PALMS for me.

Tough decision between S/T and Gore. Both are major disappointments but for different reasons. They also came out after what I consider to be two damn  near perfect albums; WP and KNY.

S/T: Incredible laziness on the part of the band leads to a bunch of repetitive and half-baked song ideas, though with a couple top 10 Deftones tracks in the mix.
Gore: Major artistic stylistic misstep causes them to write a bunch of songs, while fully formed, leaves little to remember.

Chose Gore because it is the fresher of the two disappointments.

Also, the disdain for Adrenaline is sad. Adrenaline is classic post-hardcore and will always be a fun album to listen to. Pretty much a perfect album along with WP and KNY.

The choice is easy for me: Koi No Yokan. I've talked before about how it is an album of style over substance, and I stick by that opinion. It's all surfaces and not much depth. It's also pretty repetitive. Let me break it down song by song.

Swerve City - Not a bad song, some nice melodies, but it's also the epitome of Deftones' commercialism. It sounds like such a blatant attempt to be a radio hit. It sounds like they are trying to be Foo Fighters or something. Oh, and Stephen's intro riff is repetitive.
Romantic Dreams - The verse melodies are annoying. Chorus is catchy, but I dunno, this is a little too poppy for me. I barely play this one.
Leathers - The only song on this album that I really get any kind of emotional reaction from. Really good track.
Poltergeist - Live version is better. Chino comes weak on the screams. More screams like Leathers, por favor.
Entombed - Decent song until we hit the worst Deftones bridge of all time. And then it goes right back into the verse for a third time.
Graphic Nature - Cool sounds, but repetitive.
Tempest - I kind of hate the melodies on this song. They just rub me the wrong way. Chino's voice is too high-pitched. Song gets better at the end, but by that point it's too late.
Gauze - Verses, particularly Stephen's riff, get repetitive. That end riff would have been better as the verse riff, IMO. I can't front on Chino's melodies, though.
Rosemary - Good song, but the live version is better. Stephen's end riff is the exact same riff on Diamond Eyes.
Goon Squad - Fun track until the chorus gets repetitive.
What Happened to You? - Chino's voice sounds nice, but the music just bores me to tears.

Not a bad album, but definitely my least favorite from their catalogue.

There is no point to this whole thing.  It's all fucking stupid.  I voted for the one I wanted to vote for.  Got a problem?  Deal with it.

Gore, and I can already tell this is going to get ugly. I can't believe the hate for Adrenaline. I would put Adrenaline above the last three albums personally.

I don't dislike any particular as they each have great songs. If I were to eliminate an album now, I would select Adrenaline.

Its the album I listen to the least nowadays.

They made Adrenaline a very long time ago, their sound has grown a hell of a lot since then. Understandable that it's many people's least favourite. I voted for Around the Fur, only a few of those songs I really love, the rest I like quite a lot or don't really like much at all.

47 votes, and yet nobody has dared to choose WP or S/T.
I think these two will make it to the final round with WP winning by a small margin.

Adrenaline is sooooooooo much better than Gore.

Drums, riffs, BASS, Chino's voices... incredible. So much energy, so much passion, so much everything...
Not to mention the mix, you hear that, you know it's Deftones.

Not THE best but come on !

Totally agree, I was listening to it the other day and it's just downright more interesting and sounds better. There's actual bass that matters and Chino's vocals have this dark mystique about them. So much more emotion overall.

Something's got to be least favourite. For me, it has the least amount of songs that I really love.

Not for me. Gore is a lot better than Adrenaline for me. Like, a lot. Not even close.

Adrenaline goes back and forth with Diamond Eyes as my absolute least favorite Deftones album. Koi sometimes slips in there too, it depends on my mood.

Adrenaline is good and all, and some of those songs are what got me into Deftones to begin with, but I never ever feel the desire to listen to them anymore.. I just grew out of them I guess.

Can't Even Breathe, though, I'll never grow out of!
