Perhaps. However, the director of the video, Ryan Mackfall, tweeted on March 13th that the official video was due to land very soon. I am assuming the band's management is just holding it for the time being. A lyric video like this is unnecessary and redundant.

There's no need for the sass, bud.

Big yellow font. BIG YELLOW FONT.

Anyway, maybe this didn't deserve a new thread.

Nothing special at all, I was excited when I seen the Deftones tweet about a video, only to turn it off 30 seconds later.

UNLESS they scrapped it again.... lol.

Why else would they bother with this? When they've got a full blown video waiting to drop? Seriously? LOL

I get the feeling Deftones are messing with everybody. They have two(?) videos done, and instead release videos that aren't official videos. Maybe they forget it's not April Fool's Day.

They did lyric videos for Diamond Eye's videos too... At least Rocket Skates and Diamond Eyes.

Quite a few people are doing lyric videos these days.  They're cheap and everybody but the snobs tend to like them.  I agree with all of you that I want a real video but I'm not going to pout about it.  Enjoy that they're still kickin' it!

The mix sounds weird in the video too. The guitars are down and Chino's voice seems to have more clarity.

I have yet to see a band release an Album and see no Video promotion to this level...

Makes you wonder if Deftones are on drugs, or Warner Brothers is?

It'll be Warner maybe they feel bands like Deftones won't benefit from an expensive video given the fact they won't get any tv play and it will only be viewed on YouTube. They're probably right the Youtube video would only be watched by people who already know of Deftones and those people have probably already bought or heard the album, the benefit of music videos used to be they got played on Tv so you exposed your music to a new bunch of potential fans nowadays bands like Deftones just don't get airtime so they get new fans through radio and word of mouth instead.

Well, seeing as it's not Deftones choice to make videos or not make videos.. it's clear that Warner Bros are on some serious drugs.

Well, we all know Deftones are, but the jury's still out on WB.
