What in your mind has been the best Deftones concert for 2011.
Although I haven't been lucky enough to go to any of their concerts (still wishing they'd visit South Africa :( ), I regularly watch their performances on Youtube.
I really thought they were sounding good at the Paradiso in Amsterdam and just look at the setlist!!!!!!
They played Combat for the first time live and it sounded awesome!!!!!!!! - one of my favourite Deftones songs and I've been longing to hear it in live form.
They also played another SNW gem - Kimdracula.
Here's the setlist:
Diamond Eyes
Rocket Skates
Birthmark
Engine No.9
Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)
My Own Summer (Shove It)
Lhabia
Digital Bath
Korea
Minerva
Bloody Cape
Royal
Sextape
Kimdracula
Cherry Waves
Combat
Elite
The Boys Rebublic
Change (In The House Of Flies)
Encore:
Root
Nosebleed
7 Words
I would have loved to have been at that concert!!!
Here's a video (thanks very much to Sly for posting it) of them performing Combat for the first time live:
Deftones - Combat [Live in Paradiso, Amsterdam 2011] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_eO2pvhem4#ws)
The played Combat during their soundcheck in June along with Kimdracula and they sounded awesome.
This is truly and "eye of the beholder" type question. Best concert does not equal Best setlist, to me its about the energy and vibe between the crowd and the band. How tight were they?
For me it was the show I saw in Charlotte, NC. Chino engaging the crowd early and often, jumping into the pit and screaming Hexagram, and the panic as the show was cut short by tornadoes in the area. Again good question but almost impossible to answer.
That really depends on what you're looking for wen you see them live. I think Chino's stepped it up this year, vocally and energy-wise (for the most part), so I dont have a specific concert, but I think 2011 has been a good year for them, touring-wise. Minus the setlist hardly ever changing.

I'm not surprised they're tired - they've really been on the road a lot!
The tourbus must feel like home for them.
Still envious of you for being there V! - how many Deftones concerts have you been to anyway?
If I had to judge, I'd choose either Moscow show or closing show of North American leg at the Fox Theater.
Moscow because band gave it all in their last performance in a while, they were in really good mood, interacting with the crowd, joking around, they were really enjoying the show, Chino gave the credits to the crowd as the "best in whe world" again.
And the Fox Theater show, according to the videos was one of the most intense performances in a while. Chino was a wild wild beast, hands down.
I have no idea what their best show was since I've only seem them live once (sadly), but they killed it in Pittsburgh haha. Seeing them in the late 90's/early 00's would have been insane
I was also referring to the Diamond Eyes concert in Pittsburgh, but you prob already caught that
dope that they finally played combat live....
In due time, we'll hear riviere in its entirety
