Speaking at the San Diego Comic-Con, Steven Spielberg has revealed that Jurassic Park 4 has a writer, and is in development...
A few days ago, director Joe Johnston, on the promotional campaign for his latest film Captain America, mentioned that he may be taking up the reins on the Jurassic Park franchise, and even hinted that his involvement may herald a new trilogy of dinosaur-themed movies.
"We are in discussions about Jurassic Park 4," Johnston told Screen Rant. "The most important thing I can tell you is that it starts a new trilogy that will go off in a different direction - a completely different direction that is very exciting, and different from anything we've seen."
Over at the San Diego Comic-Con, meanwhile, Steven Spielberg's been promoting his own forthcoming movie, which is of course Tintin. While on the discussion panel talking about that film, the topic of conversation turned to the Jp franchise, »

too bad for the 3d shit but HOT DAMN YES
Heard a rumor that there's a possibility of him directing too. either way I'm in. also can't wait for Jurassic Park in 3D IMAX in March.
I heard about this a loooong time ago, like at least a year ago. I thought Spielberg was directing it? I thought he directed all of them...didn't pay attention. The first one was damn good. Also, fucking Goldblum.

Agreed. The original is a classic though. I don't really care about Jurassic Park 4 but seeing the original in 3D IMAX would be badass.
the movie holds up so well, i mean, it's twenty years old and it features CGI fucking dinosaurs, and it still hold up so god damned well. a Perfect movie
They should have just did a reboot . I dont see how they are going to make this fresh coming off The Lost World and 3.
A reboot would be awesome .Especially since you can get away with a bit more in PG-13 movies these days and they could make it resemble the first novel a bit more...oh well dinos and 3d will sell tickets no matter how shit the story is.
stoked for the original in Imax though
I predict this movie will suck balls, but I'll be happy to be proved wrong.
For it to be a success financially imo is pure marketing.I'd call it something completely different. As soon as you tag "4" on to the end of any movie you curse it with not only being crap, or at least default it straight to DVD, but 99% of the public will pass it up at the cinema.
Given film history the only film fans that stick with a series that long are horror and porno fans....oh....and Star Wars....*cough*
It will be amazing. JP3 was shitty, but still awesome-shitty. It's fucking dinosaurs rampaging. The movie can't be that bad unless half the movie is Spielberg going ass to mouth on Attenborough.
Hopefully they manage to bring back whatever survivors are left (Goldblum). I also just recently realized the kid, Tim, has grown up to be a pretty good actor. Thought he looked familiar in The Pacific and Justified.

would pay for and gladly watch
I watched The Lost world a couple days ago, that movie barely makes sense. Why the hell did they want to help the baby T-rex, use your fucking brains people. How did all those people die on the boat with the t-rex?
come on man
if you saw a little baby Rex looking at you with those eyes and a limb or 2 broken, you wouldve boarded it on your transportation apparatus too
Like I said...if this movie happens.......big if.....its bound to suck.
okay, here's a few things why this movie might be good
1) it's jurassic park
2) it features god damned fucking dinosaurs you fucking idiot
3) Guile's theme goes with everything (Jurassic Park - Samuel L. Jackson - hold on to your butts) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pky1RyAKbJE#)

Exactly. New trailer looks awesome. TRAINED FUCKING VELOCIRAPTORS.
not watching the trailer because i want to feel like a kid again in the cinema and trailers are cancerous
the five second teaser gave me goosebumps though, dat dere piano tune
In the time they made the movie, they easily could clone a real dinosaur :)
The new trailer of this movie is coming up February 1 on the Superbowl.
Anyone think this sequel is going to be worth seeing?
I just saw the trailer on the Superbowl and Im sold!
absolutely worthless film
didn't watch any trailers or promotional material or whatever because i wanted the Pure Experience
it sucked
would've accepted it if they didn't put the term 'jurassic x' on it
but they did
so it sucked
i really don't like chris pratt.
I really like Chris Pratt and his bossitude was the only redeeming quality of the movie. Well that and seeing dinosaurs. I seeing dinosaurs is why this got such good reviews.
If I want to see an awesomely shitty movie, I'll stick with Furious 7 thankyouverymuch.
furious 7 was a confusing, disappointing mess too
big budget movies are dead man
