I've been playing this album non-stop for two weeks.  It's like a mixture of Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine and other hints of 90s rock.  The vocals may turn off some people, but I absolutely love this album.  Puts me in a good mood every time, and it's a nice throwback.

If you like Deerhoof or Lightning Bolt, you'll dig this.  Vocals are insane, but these guys mix psychedelia with urgency.  They have a new album coming out very soon...

Another band that loves throwback sounds: Dinosaur Jr., Pavement, Sonic Youth, etc.  Very cool spring/summer music.

Health- Get Color

A lot of people call this dance-punk.  I call it heroin space punk.  Nothing really sounds like these guys right now.

Wild Nothing- Gemini

Somebody likes the Smiths and The The.  And it's this guy.  Enjoyable album nonetheless.

Everybody must check out Ponytail. Such a ridiculously good band. At first I thought they had sampled some kid, never realized it was an actual singer, but hell I think it fits so well.

Their new album is also mind-blowing, always makes me happy listnening to it.

Stop trying to be so alternative. They are terrible.

I won't hang myself if you don't like them, but just saying: they're good. And to be honest I don't find them that alternative. They play techy rock with w
eird vocals. hurray!

They play rock that sounds like utter shit in my ears. Whatever floats your boat though. My loss i guess. There's so many modern underground rock acts that sound like shit nowadays. Almost as if it was the new cool thing. These guys aren't even trying. I mean Lightning bolt at least kick some ass, and rock out whilst sounding like shit. This is just bullshit methinks.

Wild Nothing's Gemini is such a fun album. I usually listen to bands on the darker side of the spectrum, but I'm really digging this. Puts a smile on my face. I think the song "Gemini" is the best on the album.
