on a more serious note this time, i finally picked this up but how good do you guys really think it is. has some nice tracks Wax Wane, Crenshaw, If Only Tonight.. , the acoustics... but the other half i find pretty boring. Black Moon is a great track too, but how is that deftones apart from Chino vaguely in the background? who made the beat? that Teenager idiot version, its really ment as an idiot performance right? the singing is whacked lol.
it should contain Back To School and Lovers, now that be great. too bad.
Chino made the beat on "Black Moon" and I believe that it is stated somewhere in the booklet. He tells a funny story about how he owed B-Real a beat and totally forgot about it until that very day when he came to collect so Chino just threw it together and voila! There it was lol. "Lovers" definitely should have been included. "Sinatra" is the shit! Overall, the disc allows us to have a handful of their most awesome songs ("Crenshaw Punch (I'll Throw Rocks At You)," "Sinatra," acoustic versions of "Change" and "Be Quiet and Drive") in CD quality which they were never available in before but there are a few that are just kind of "meh." I still like it a lot but I had hoped to get a few other things included on it. Still a good addition to the collection.
I think Simple Man is one of their best covers. Waaaaaaaay better than the original.
^that song goes nowhere. also whats up with that "sailor" vibe on Please Let Me Get What I Want, totally destroys the vibe after Tonight.
you sure Black Moon beat was made by Chino, not Frank? booklet says Black Moon (Deftones), its a sick beat.
"No ordinary love" breaks my heart.
Love this collection of tracks, Lovers and Too Have And To Hold should have been included though.

Tru Dat!
Welcome to 5 years ago my boy.
damn 5 years... Time flies. I feel like I just bought it not to long ago.
My CD of B-Sides & Rarities got scratched, and some of the best songs on it don't work properly anymore.
I am sad about this. :'(
I was rather disappointed with the Rarities album. It's basically a cover's record with Crenshaw Punch. That's really about it. The DVD is okay tho.
The Chauffeur... one of Chinos best performances on a track

Actually I had pretty much all of the songs on various CD's and singles before B-Sides but it was nice to get them all on one cd.
it has chauffeur and simple man, all it needs for perfection is jealous guy.
the dvd is awesome

you got a point there. I think most of us where expecting outtakes and songs never heard...now there's only hope for the aniversary blablabla remaster deluxe shit, still I don't think many will see the light of the day.
i would love to hear a studio version of "If only tonight..."

they should record one
i don't think it need to be done. they do it perfect live. Chino always sings it really well
i'd love to see them play "simple man" live. force Stef to learn the solo, or have Chino learn it and let Stef rhythm through

Yes, but my point was that now they were in CD quality and not a bunch of miscellaneous shit-house bitrates. Feel me?
