Muse plays Deftones HeadUp riff live at their shows---saw them in boston and they pllayed it and it made me hairs stand up on end! Matt Bellamy is nasty!

Muse Headup riff
muse might be good or whatever, but the singer sounds too much like thom yorke. if i wanna hear yorke i'll listen to the original. i can never get into muse because of this
well they are both british and they are both influenced by jeff buckley so I dont agree. Besides Muse is so much more straight forward than radiohead and with a beautiful metal undertone (especially during live shows). Matt Bellamy is one of the best performers I have ever seen live. :D
Both Radiohead and Muse are great. I've seen them both live multiple times and both bands put on a wonderful energetic show. But of course Radiohead FTW.

I'm not a fan of Muse, but this argument has always confused me. How do you fault a guy for being born
with a voice that's similar to someone else's? What is he supposed to do,
change his own voice?
I just don't get it.
stapezee... diggin that avatar bro ;)

that's just me, i'm super picky about singers, they gotta have a unique voice, or if it's just kind normal at least don't mimic other people. the muse guy sounds dead on thom yorke(i dig radiohead), AND copies his melodies. i'm not saying muse sucks, i'm sure they're good, but i can't get into unoriginal singers

thom yorke should get serious royalties from muse. it's so obvious

I was going to ask for examples, but I'll just take your word for it. I don't care about Muse enough to defend the singer. :P

Fair enough. I'm a major, major fan of unique voices as well. Singers most people can't stand. Antony
Hegarty, Jeff Mangum, etc... Anyone who seems honest and unique in their expression.
That said if Matt Bellamy's similarity to Yorke isn't intentional, I do feel bad for him. It's hardly his fault. If
it is an intentional 'impersonation' however, then I agree it's pretty weak. Even still, maybe he's just a super
fan, grew up covering Radiohead and kind of adopted the style as an inspiration... I don't know.
Maybe I stick up for people too much.
he should perform the Blind riff. ;D

LMFAO After that, they're gonna play Break Stuff and Smells Like Teen Spirit.
On topic, that video is vomit worthy.
I told a friend (and he hate chinos voice) this video and she was like "I dont believe this""
I was like: i told you deftones inspired a lot of ppl! And also this is an easy song to play lol.
ps: she is a huge muse fan but i dont like the band i agree with hidalgo on matts voice.
The Muse version sounds so soft.
