adBlock and flashblock are your perfect solutions.
I'm ad-free for about half of year now. and that's just great.

considering I'm sitting at my work computer and I am a web developer, working with websites and flash, I don't think that's such a good idea :P

adblock and flashblock is highly adaptable, I mean you can allow or forbid sites etc

well I gave up and installed ie7pro, it has an ad blocker that works pretty well.
