well here in a america the few people that do know him generaly know him for one song. and to be fair isn't david hasselhoff's music career big in germany?
i dont know how big it was in comparison to other charts. but most people surely know "looking fo freedom" because it came out by the time when the Berliner Mauer fell.
but there are hundreds of songs that dont have such an excuse for being on top of germanys charts.

i've never heard of "looking for freedom" and most of the people i know don't know falco by name, they know him as the "amedeus guy". he may be big in his home land but here he is a one hit wonder.

yeah calling someone a onehitwonder is probablly highly subjective thing.
i guess most people here in germany would call the cure(boys dont cry), led zeppelin (stairway to heaven), pink floyd (another brick in the wall) onehitwonders, just because they only know this one song.

definitly man. faith no more one of my favorite bands was alot bigger in europe than here in the states. here they are a one hit wonder with "epic". which i found out not to long ago actually. i always thought they were huge, cause everyone i know loves them. but the majority of americans have shitty taste in music.
I really wouldn't say that Reef (come back brighter, Good Feeling) , Frankie goes to Hollywood (The Power of Love, Two Tribes, Tricky and Guano Apes (Big in Japan) were one hit wonders, especially in the UK.

haha thats what nailec and i were just saying. some bands are bigger in different countries. here (the states) reef only had the one song. but i know they were pretty big in the uk were they are from.
