I'm bored. Apparently the singer from Dance Gavin Dance, Kurt, is going to be doing a guest vocal appearance on Eros. I didn't believe them when I was told that Chino was doing guest vocals on one of their songs, but that ended up being true, so I find their word a little more credible now, and I'm kind of believing it. The band isn't my style but my best bud's good friend plays guitar for the band, so yeah, heard it from the source. Anywho, don't think I'm happy about it, but at least it's not the little screamer dude I can't stand.

**edit** Bleh, actually this terrifies me.

o rly?
I thought chino said in a interview that eros will have no Guest singers in it.
i recall this interview from the last year where they say that they didnt even know that tankian was gonna do guest vocals, the complaining on chino doing whatever he wants, but hell, i think hes losing the tact
I heard Lennon is doing a guest spot too. My friend's best friend plays in the Beatles. Seriously.

This is probably true. Might give the Deftones a bump and get their shit played on MTV2

Chino did guest vocals on a Dance Gavin Dance song called Caviar.
Anyway, I hope this guy does not appear on Eros cos his voice is a little crappy.

Don't you steal gold while on tour like on that film 'Three Kings'? I think Billy Corgan or Dave Gahan should do vocals on the next album, especially Dave Gahan but I really can't see that happening.

I wish. They are actually super strict about taking ANYTHING home from these countries. I guess they don't want us to be seen as pillagers. I joke about taking their gold though. Stealing another countries wealth would actually be a horrible thing to do. But some of my Afghan friends did give me a few rubies when I left Afghanistan.
But on topic. I don't know about Billy Corgan or Dave Gahan. I mean, they are both awesome. But I just don't know how they would mesh with deftones. I could probably see Corgan more though.
But one thing is for sure. This tool bag from Dance Gavin Dance sucks and should be no where near a deftones album.
I actually really don't like guest vocalist. I would prefer it to be all chino.

I honestly have no idea what you were trying to communicate to me right there.
brandon boyd to be guest vocal in eros would be cool
alanis morissette or bono would me cool
nah man chino just needs to go like i'll sing like on adrenaline, atf, wp, st and snw...
lotion-style
7 words
elite
digital bath
battle axe
hexagram
beware
combat
it'll sound like every song has a different singer :D no collabs needed...
Gavin from Dredg. Not singing any lyrics, just humming a melody in the background with shit loads of delay/reverb added to his vocals while Chino screams or whatever...
I'd quite like to hear Brock Lindow guest on a Deftones track you know. He's a big fan of them and I love his style.

36 Crazyfists singer. Lyrics wise his best album is Bitterness The Star. Vocal wise Snow Capped Romance. He is a very good singer but likes to scream more now days which is a shame. I think him and Chino in a song would be great together. Both great vocalists and write cool lyrics. I'm currently drooling over the prospect...
Justin Furstenfeld from Blue October doing something with them would be fantastical.... OMG those two minds combined could keep me entertained for hours.
Michael Jackson

Same goes for those of you saying some shit about brandon boyd , alanis morissette, and bono.
You have all lost your minds.
You love my mind, don't try to deny.

Yeaaaaa ASCR is my favourite by them. I have Installing The Catheter as my ringtone right now actually... :P
But yea it would be so sweet if they did a track together.

BEAUTIFUL!!! just yesterday i was thinking how cool it would be to have Michael Jackson and Chino working together on a song.
let's be honest Michael with the Deftones wouldn't fit. but he and Chino doing a song together could be something really cool. :D
Anyway it should be Robert Smith and Dave Gahan being guest on the new album or if not they should have no guest. most of the names people trow aintt really the best to work with the tones. some of them are respectable guys but I cant see them making anything special and not disposable on a song. Maynard and Rodleen were the only remarkable guest on Deftones records! in my opion even the song with Max Cavalera is just an ok song, there is nothing special about it.
I hear katy perry is DA bomb

It might have been a joke but i would dig that! we can at least say that it would somehow be something interesting.
Personaly i'm not a big fan of Headup...it's a matter of taste I guess.
No, we can't agree that it would be interesting. It would be a horrible idea. Just like almost every other guest people have suggested in this thread.
