I'm not sure how many of you people know this shit seeing as how I'm not on here much but here's some news.
For fans of Glassjaw (and other bands), Palumbo has teamed up with members of Thursday, The Number 12 Looks Like You, Converge, Made Out Of Babies, The Lovekill, and Killswitch Engage to form the band United Nations.  It's kind of a power-violencey, hardcore punk kinda thing.  The album's supposed to come out on Tuesday but it's already leaked onto the internet.  If you're too lazy to search for it on Soulseek or Limewire or whatever you use, you can stream it from their Myspace at: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=406712747

Denali is reformed and playing shows in LA and NYC (I'm going.  9/26.  I forget where.)

Keeley Davis posted an unreleased Glos (Maura and Keeley Davis of Denali/Ambulette/Bella Lea and Engine Down and Denali, respectively for those of you who don't know or don't care) song on his website.  Listen here: http://kheydesign.com/

I'm pretty sure this stuff is old news but figured I'd post it for those who don't know and might be a bit interested.

I just saw Horse The Band (http://www.myspace.com/horsetheband) and HeavyHeavyLowLow (http://www.myspace.com/heavyheavylowlow) (and So Many Dynamos) last night at the Backbooth in Orlando. I hadn't seen either bands in over a year, so I was uber-excited. and I was not disappointed, they were both AMAZING! danny has more terrible tattoos, robbie was his usually awesome self on stage and Horse The Band were their usual asshole-selves on stage as well!

perfect show!!!

that tour is still going on for a while, so make sure you go catch a show, if you can. it's only like $10-$12!

Sorry for the lack of news and communication with everyone!

We have been working extra hard on our fourth album, 6 songs are completely finished and another 7 are in progress.
We should have the album which is currently titled "All Things Lost Below" completed by November/Early December which will make it nearly a full year in the studio by then. The release date will be early 2009, either late January or February and we should have a single from the album in October if we can all decide on which one it should be.

On the live front we will be announcing shows for Europe and the US shortly.
We will be touring in Central Europe in April and in Southern Europe in May, some of the dates have been confirmed already. Our p1 visas have just been approved again by the INS so we will be announcing some shows for the US West Coast for early December as planned and possible dates on the East Coast again in March.

Till we finish the album or have more news we will be out of signal range for a while!
God Is An Astronaut - September 2008

if you haven't heard god is an astronauts music.. you are really missing out.. words cant describe how perfect the album. "all is violent. all is bright" is.. so go listen to it. NOW

excellent news from theprp.com:

Poison The Well will precede the upcoming May 2009 release of their new album with a series of 3 new 7" efforts. The first to land in stores will be titled "I / III" and will see a November 11th physical/digital release date through Ferret Music. It will feature the following track listing:
01 - "New Fast"
02 - "Purple Sabbath"
Production for the effort was done by Pelle Henricsson and Eskil Loustrom (Refused, Poison The Well). The series of releases will feature a hidden image which will be revealed when all three records are put together. Furthermore, none of the songs on the splits will appear on the groups forthcoming new album. As previously reported, Poison The Well will enter the studio in November to officially begin recording their new album with producer J. Robbins (Clutch, Against Me!).

So we can confirm that the new album is finally finished, we will have more news in the coming days on the release date (soon), track-listing and artwork.
The album will be self titled. We will be previewing some of our tracks on our myspace player shortly.

We would appreciate it if everyone could spread the word about the new album as we won't be able to do much press promotion this time around because we cannot afford to due to our equipment been stolen at the beginning of this year and some of us just recently being laid off from work. There is barely enough money to print up the CDs and to keep everything going as is, so it would be great if everyone could buy a copy of the CD when it is available.

We will also be announcing a whole bunch live dates, it will be something like this: Jan - U.K., Feb - Ireland, March ???, April - Central European tour, May - Southern European Tour .... plus more touring in the Summer and Autumn 09.

As for the USA, dates are still TBC for December, we will have an update soon to see wether this is going to happen or not.

And for everywhere else we are prepared to play anywhere once there is a realistic offer in place, we don't play for free or for meager money offers that don't even cover a hot dinner and then somehow be expected to put on a decent show. It costs €800 just to leave this island on the ferry!

Lamb Of God have set Wrath as the title to their new album which will see a February 24th release date through Epic The album sports production from Josh Wilbur. Speaking on the album band drummer Chris Adler offered the following:
"This album is going to surprise a lot of people. Typically bands that get to where we are in our career begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. WRATH needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on February 24th you will feel it."

At present the band have the following dates booked:
November 24th Richmond, VA - The National (feat. Municipal Waste, This Time It's War)
December 01st Seattle, WA - Key Arena (feat. Metallica, The Sword)
December 02nd Vancouver, BC - GM Place (feat. Metallica, The Sword)
December 04th Calgary, AB - Pengrowth Saddledome (feat. Metallica, The Sword)
December 05th Calgary, AB - Pengrowth Saddledome (feat. Metallica, The Sword)
December 06th Saskatoon, SK - Prarieland Exhibition Hall A (feat. The Sword)
December 07th Edmonton, AB - Rexall Place (feat. Metallica)
December 09th Spokane, SK - Knitting Factory Concert House (feat. The Sword, The Faceless)
December 10th Portland, OR - Roseland Theatre (feat. The Sword, 3 Inches Of Blood)
December 11th Chico, CA - Senator Theatre (feat. The Sword, The Faceless)
December 12th Ontario, CA - Citizens Bank Arena (feat. Metallica, The Sword)
December 13th Fresno, CA - Save Mart Center (feat. Metallica, The Sword)
