so stoked for next week:
Converge
Red Chord
Baroness
Genghis Tron
HeWhoCorrupts
Holy shit, where at? Haven't heard HeWhoCorrupts but the other bands are top notch. Been hooked on Genghis Tron since I got Board Up the House and the other three are phenomenal.
im going april 5 in chicago. its U.S. tour here's the dates http://www.myspace.com/theredchord
and as far as hewhocorrupts goes, they are unbelievable, especially live (but i'm pretty sure they're only the chicago dates since theyre from here)
they're grindcore, my personal favorite of that genre. Here are their best 2 cd's
Master of Profits

Ten Steps To Success

Thanks! I'll check them out.
My last concert was forever ago...back in October. Saw Type O Negative. They were MUCH better than when I saw them a few months before that. Before that it was Tool. I'm looking forward to the Tom Petty concert coming up in a few months though. \m/
The Cure.
Really good.

in 2 weeks going to see pendulum and the upbeats (this is in new zealand btw)
I just saw Misery Signals last night on their first UK headline tour, with August Burns Red, Emmure, Burn Down Rome and Elias Last Day.
Pretty much the best show ever and I've got the bruises to prove it :P My legs are I'd say 30% bruised which may not sound a lot, but it is hahah.
I'm seeing Every Time I Die tomorrow night... it's gonna be painful given how much it hurts to walk right now ;D

For some reason, I like them.
Ozzfest 2007, wasn't too bad but was mainly excited for Behemoth and Nile. Extreme metal is hard to come by in this Christian state of corn and watermelon. I'm waiting to see what the lineup for this year is but I'm not that enthusiastic. Ozzfest is always either hit or miss.

Ohhhh Ryan! I could kiss you! What have you heard from them? I have the Cd's The Answer, Consent to Treatment, History for Sale, Foiled, and Foiled for the Last Time which is 2 cd's.. one which is live. If you would like I will up them for you on the DL&R Thread. *soooo happy* that someone else likes them! I wish more people on here would give them a chance. Seriously great music. NOT thrash or anything.. just mellow music with meaning behind each song.
Blue October also has another live CD called Argue With a Tree, 2 discs, and incredible as always <3!
Oh yeah.. I have that too! Just let me know. Ill up.

Lol upload away, only heard a few songs but they were solid and addicting. Wouldn't mind hearing a bit more. "Into the Ocean" was my song when I was going through the divorce, lost friends, and fought with family.
hmmm i guess i'll see what all the hubbub is about and check out their myspace...
I have all uploading as we speak.. give me another 10 minutes. And you guys can listen away. =o)
Into the Ocean is great. My favorites right now are HRSA, The Darkest Side of Houston's Finest Day, Blue Sunshine, Black Orchid, A Quiet Mind...... ohhh the list goes on and on... Truly not a bad song.

destroy the runner (http://www.myspace.com/destroytherunner)
sever your ties (http://www.myspace.com/severyourties)

Converge, Red Chord, Baroness, Genghis Tron just absolutely killed in chicago tonight. omg just all of them were amazing.
Just saw Every Time I Die on Thursday. They were awesome, but the second 2 support bands [Scary Kids Scaring Kids and Drop Dead, Gorgeous] were abysmal... Cool show though - I got a setlst at the end :D
They've put some pictures up of the show on their MySpace too and I love this one, mainly because it's my hand Keith is grabbing :P

Chimaira tomorrow!
Fucking DOWN in New Orleans!
Chimaira on Monday - it was fucking awesome. Met half the band, Matt DeVries gave me his pick and Mark Hunter gimme a setlist :D
I saw Chimaira last Thursday and last night I saw Down and interviewed Rex.
Last monday I saw Portishead in Amsterdam, probably one of the most beautifull shows i've ever been too.
just saw explosions in the sky last night.it was a breathtaking experience.
i'm jealous ^^^^^^
saw Devildriver, Napalm Death, and 36 Crazyfists last week.
36 own. thats why I was there. had a blast.
Crazyfists are awesome live, huh?! :D
Saw them twice on the Rest Inside The Flames UK tour last year and they were amazing. They have such a good vibe and the atmosphere was unbelieveable. They're coming back in June and I can't wait :]
yeah, you UK bastards get them more than us it seems!
Raconteurs
again tonight....
destroy the runner, actually leaving in about 10 minutes.
I live in Iceland...so there are never any bands anyone's really heard of, save maybe once a year...
I do try and go to local shows a lot though, there's good stuff out there fortunately. I guess having nothing to do really makes for an active scene with good music, lol
tuesday I went to a metal gig at my school
bands playing:
muck
skítur (means shit)
bloodfeud
retron
I was late so I missed the first two.
however, bloodfeud sounded a lot like children of bodom, or reminded me at least. they were tight, although not my fave kind of music. retron was much more fun. they play a sort of robotic metal, not quite electric, but there's something robotic about the pounding riffs they play. they're like if qotsa were much more hardcore and to the point, and heavy metal. some fear factory resemblances as well
yesterday I went to another metal gig
bands:
muck - post-metal, very dark, sounds like they listen to Isis
skítur - metalcore, very gritty, fast, thrashing, brutal
celestine - post-metal/death metal at its best. terrific band. recently switched members a bit, their new songs are perhaps more into death metal than their previous more post-metal stuff
the mars volta

Word. I wanted to cut them down like trees
rock am ring, including:
incubus
in flames
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE (fucking awesome)
disturbed
lostprophets
and some more shit bands. great time.
Blue October
Kiss (1st of June) and Foo Fighters (yesterday). Both shows awesome, but let's face it. Kiss kinda sucks
Since I last posted in here:
I-DEF-I - 19th April
Defenders Of The Faith - 25th April
Profane - 8th May
Skindred in Sheffield - 23rd May - me and my best friend went mainly cos Profane were supporting and they put me on the guestlist +1. They ended up getting us backstage passes and all I really remember from that night [apart from the bands] was lots of alcohol, continuous quoting of Alan Partridge, Profane giving us a lift back to Manchester in their van whilst listening to I by Meshuggah, being a roadie at 4 in the morning taking all their gear into one of their flats and then crashing at my friend's uni flat at like 5 :P
Saw a couple local bands last thursday too.

The Cure - Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University - 06182008
AWESOME SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The opening act was 65 Days of static, overall not bad but a very short set (30 minutes) and 45 minutes between them and the cure >:( I really dug the music, but the thing that bugged me was that all the synth and effects were pre-recorded so it was like watching musicians play along with a tape. its a LIVE performance (even if the bassist is in charge of this, you think they could have got someone to fill in)
The CURE - what can i say, fucking awesome. played for over 2 1/2 hours (I didnt stay for the second encore - i was running on 5 hours sleep and had a two hour car ride home). Highlights were Torture, Push, Primary(!) and Wrong Number, i have never heard them play these live
set list (in no particualr order, tho the first two songs and encore are correct)
open
fascination Street
inbetween days
perfect boy (new song, really good)
primary
just like heaven (the crowd was louder than robert!)
pictures of you
a night like this
the only one (new song, again really good)
? (i didnt recognize this song, but it wasn't new cause there were fans singing along, ive heard all the cure albums and still didnt recognize)
wrong number
hot hot hot
torture
push
from the edge of the deep green sea
Sleep when im dead(another new song, it was alright)
love song
one hundred years
lullaby (the crowd lost their shit when they played this)
the end of the world
us or them
charlotte sometimes
never enough
encore:
at night
play for today
M
a forest
and the whole set list in correct order (from cleveland plain dealer review), i cant belive i missed the second encore :'(
SET LIST: "Open," "Fascination Street," "A Night Like This," "The End of the World," "Lovesong," "Want," "Pictures of You," "Lullaby," "The Perfect Boy," "From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea," "Kyoto Song," "Hot Hot Hot," "The Only One," "Charlotte Sometimes," "Torture," "Sleep When I'm Dead," "Push," "Inbetween Days," "Just Like Heaven," "Primary," "Us or Them," "Never Enough," "Wrong Number," "One Hundred Years," "End"
(first encore) "At Night," "M," "Play for Today," "A Forest"
(second encore) "Three Imaginary Boys," "Fire In Cairo," "Boys Don't Cry," "Jumping Someone Else's Train," "Grinding Halt," "10:15 Saturday Night," "Killing an Arab"
That's awesome!! I had a friend see them in CA,and she said Robert would just stop and pose so people could take pictures of him. haha
She said "It ROCKED!!! They played for over 2 hours for their first set!!! Then went on to play another 1.5 hours after that!"
yeah, there were a few times when he did that. during never enough he grabbed a mike and walked around posing on different points on the stage. the best part was we got there mad early and they upgraded our seats (the venue was only half full, 4000 at an 8000 seat venue) so we were right on the side of the stage. when he came over to our side everyone around us lost it, cause he was lookin directly at us. definitely alot more energy on the stage than ive ever seen, even though the crowd was pretty subdued (i was surprised at how old some of the people were ;D)
Uh hello! The Cure! 80's! haha

I spoke to their vocalist after the show as well and after demanding they come back up to Manchester with Meshuggah he was like "we're actually waiting for confirmation to see if we can get a support slot with them" :D
Next shows are The Acacia Strain in Sheffield on the 25th, Johnny Truant on the 28th then The Acacia Strain in Manchester on the 29th ^__^

from first to last need to find a new singer. I saw them a while ago in chicago when I went to some hwo at the house of blues. I just went cuz my friend mike tour manages teh devil wears prada and i wanted to se him... anyways. I saw fftl and they were TERRIBLE! like, the whole place was "rockin" and teh crowd was going wild for every band and the second fftl came on people literally stopped moving and after a song or two people started booing them... the only thing you could hear was some little girls screaming matt's name and had fftl written over their faces...
it was SO sad to watch. I felt so sad for them. it was unbearable to watch, I left after a few more minutes. I asked mike and he said this happened virtually every night on the tour...

Good god that's horrible. I'll admit, they weren't my taste and his voice was too... eh for me. I don't know how to explain it, but it just wasn't my taste. At Warped Tour, there was nothing but chicks screaming out to them. Everyone else was slightly bobbing around to the melody, and you had your few crowd surfers. Not much more.
But to be booed horribly. I'd just friggin quit lol. I'll have to admit though, the only band there I really enjoyed was the Bouncing Souls.

I'll have to admit though, the only band there I really enjoyed was the Bouncing Souls.
i know, how horrible. as far as I recall they did drop outof the tour after a while or at least didnt play second headliner anymore.. I dunno...
you should have watched norma jean, dillinger escape plan and every time i die! those were the 3 bands I wish I could have seen, had I not had class and NO money whatsoever! lol

Bouncing Souls, From First to Last, and Pennywise at Warped Tour.
from first to last need to find a new singer.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see them. I kept being dragged to May Day Parade... didn't like them much either. I gotta listen to Norma Jean. Maybe they're something good. I stumbled across Dir En Grey from the Deftones tour last year. They were decent.

Sweeeet, did Meshuggah play Combustion? That's the one I hope most they play off obZen when I see them in September :D
they did at one of the shows I went to. went to 2 shows of the same tour. amazing line up! loved it!!!
Awesomeee :]
It was 7 weeks yesterday til the show, plus I was speaking to a guy a couple weeks ago who knows the promoter for the tour and he was adamant they're NOT gonna cancel so I'm pretty fuckin confident I'll get to see them this time round ;D
Knights Of The Abyss, Annotations Of An Autopsy and THE ACACIA STRAIN in 48 hours!
Last show I went to was
311 and Snoop Dogg in Chicago
Last shows I went to:
The Acacia Strain, Knights Of The Abyss, Annotation Of An Autopsy - 25th July in Sheffield
The Acacia Strain, KOTA, AOAA, Veils - 29th July in Manchester
Absolutely without a doubt two of the best shows I've ever been to... the latter of which involved hanging out backstage with TAS for most of the night, smoking a couple joints with em and watching most of the show from sidestage :]
Lolla-fucking-palooza!
<3 nin
I saw Rancid and Gogol Bordello two nights in a row in chicago last week.
Just went to the Mayhem Festival yesterday.
Best by far: Suicide Silence, 36 Crazyfists, Mastodon, The Red Chord (they did a fucking wall of death!), Machine Head, Slipknot
Worst: Dragonforce, Airbourne, Black Tide, Dead Broke
Mediocre: Walls of Jericho, Underoath, Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch
saw the thrah and burn tour last night with darkest hour and this kick ass band called misery signals and like 10 other mediocore bands.
Darkest Hour are pretty fucking sweet

Misery Signals are absolutely awesome :] Their vocalist Karl is a nice guy too - I was talking to him for a while at their headline show here in April.

Live, they are are more shoegaze band, and that's very good news for me
That was AWESOME. if you have opportunity to see them live, use it

How much did they play off their new album? I heard they're coming back over hear after they finish the couple tours they have booked already... I hope so :)
Mogwai @ festival de beschaving, Utrecht, Netherlands. They kicked ass, played alot of new songs, the new album is gonna be great if you ask me.

just their single and the first song on the new record [i forget the name].
mostly a Snow Capped Romance set, which makes me happy since that album is their best IMO.
we hung out with Brock and their drummer [it was his birthday] after their set and I bought them shots of Jager. They're going to be back with In Flames in Decemeber, so im excited.

Ah that's good to know cos I'm not too fond of the new record :/ ASCR is my favourite by them too - such an amazing album and what I consider "36 Crazyfists". Destroy The Map was such an intense song when I heard that live :]
Sweet how you met em! Brock seems like such a nice guy from what I've seen in interviews and such. I must say that out of every band I've seen live, Brock looks like he enjoys himself so much more than any musician. These guys are always gonna be one of my favourites :D

NICE!!! saw them a few month sago with Dillinger Escape Plan in Germany before I moved out to Orlando.
who else played?
I just saw Horse The Band (http://www.myspace.com/horsetheband) and HeavyHeavyLowLow (http://www.myspace.com/heavyheavylowlow) (and So Many Dynamos) last night at the Backbooth in Orlando. I hadn't seen either bands in over a year, so I was uber-excited. and I was not disappointed, they were both AMAZING! danny has more terrible tattoos, robbie was his usually awesome self on stage and Horse The Band were their usual asshole-selves on stage as well!
perfect show!!!
that tour is still going on for a while, so make sure you go catch a show, if you can. it's only like $10-$12!

Yea I remember you saying! Trigger The Bloodshed supported them but I wasn't really into em :/
I also don't understand why TTB's drummer plays a Roland V-Drum kick BEHIND an acoustic kick instead of just using the V-Drum or triggers. Doesn't make sense really :P

does he play them both or just the acoustic? I know a few drummer who like the e-drums, but don't like the sound of electronic kicks, no matter how much you EQ them. maybe that's why he decided to have a regular miced up (miked??? how the heck do you spell that? ) kick along with the rest of the roland-v?
btw, if you ever wanted to see a 5 year old drum genius on the roland v, go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ng9aWPu2CsY
He had a full acousic kit except for his snare was an electric one, and he had the electric kick drum just behind his acoustic one O__o Far as I could tell, it was either to make it look like he was actually playing the acoustic [though it clearly wasn't miced or triggered] or it's just for aesthetics. Either way, the acoustic kick was a waste of space cos their vocalist literally had about 2 feet of room at the front of the stage inbetween 2 monitors :P

Anyway, went to see a local band called I-DEF-I last night. Pretty cool show, and they played a brand new song they'd never played before :)
went out to girl in a coma last night, pretty cool show. went to it with low expectations, came out pretty blown away.

yesterday i saw xiu xiu
and to be honest it sucked. not that music was bad, no, it was good
but they started only @ 22:00. they played less than one hour, and they all looked like they wanted to stop and leave as soon as possible
set list was weird, didn't play "i broke up", "fox and rabbits", "i luv the valley" and other good stuff.
and crowd sucked, too
oh maan...
Went and saw my friend's band play again on thursday and it was awesome. I was high as fuck and not drunk for a change, and then I ended up onstage with them screaming my tits off for their last song. Good times :]
pelican in berlin some weeks ago. it sucked so much. i was lucky i could enjoy torche before them. pelican just disappointed me ecause of the songs they played.
saw thrice last night, the set was really short, but it was pretty good.
i'm not into their older stuff, but the vhiessu and alchemy index songs were awesome.
felt out of place as i was surrounded by youngins.
edit: the music playing before the 1st band and thrice was all deftones. i also got the setlist.
I haven't seen a show in a year. It has sucked bigtime.
3 weeks til TRUSTcompany! I cannot wait.
haha, cool pic.
I finally saw the Beastie Boys last night. Every fucking song rocked.
I saw Profane for like the 8th time on saturday night and it was absolutely amazing. Played 5 songs from their first album then they played 5 new songs one after the other and it was a fuckin good turn out too! It's nice seeing a local band getting bigger :]
I just got back from seeing Dredg in NYC. Great show, and they played a couple new songs - handful of videos on my youtube including 2 of the new songs:
www.youtube.com/maestro416
Dredg are awesome live!!!
I saw them open for Deftones back in 2003, I think. Awesome gig.
yea same here, that tour was sick.
this show was great but not as good as the last time i saw them headline the avalon in nyc back in 2005 or 06 i think it was. the set was a lil short. hopefully they'll play a longer one when they tour again to support the new album.
I went to Never Say Die tour last night in Manchester and it was fuckin immense! Carnifex opened and they weren't too bad but all the "hardcore kids" dancing like idiots kept me entertained :P Whitechapel were pretty awesome, as were Protest The Hero and Architects and Despised Icon were heavy as shit and I got about 5 crowdsurfers kicking me in the head during the last song haha.
UNEARTH were fucking amazing, opened with Endless Fight and Trev passed me the mic for a second... then at the end of their set their drummer Derek jumped off stage and came over to the barrier to give me a drumstick but some idiot snatched it off him and he was like "what an asshole, it was meant for her!" I asked him for hit hat but he gave me his towel instead so I'm happy ;D
Didn't stick around for Parkway Drive, but such an awesome show!
The Radio Dept. In Moscow, Ikra Club - 2008-Dec-06
the show was absolutely amazing! Guys and crowd were extremely friendly to each other. The radio dept. commented every song of them, threw some jokes from the stage... were laughing all the time. It felt like everybody in club are at sweet sweet home.
After like 40 minutes they said that that was usual time they left stage. But anyway, they played almost 40 minutes more, including double encore.
that's their final "lost abd found"
[youtube=425,350]sSSslBIGlSc[/youtube]
i'm not sure about whole set list and songs order but they played
where the damage is already done
keen on boys
why won't you talk about it
1995
lost and found
worst taste in music
i wanted you to feel the same (so awesome!)
pulling our weight
(something else i don't remember)
also they played two or three very good new songs (i don't know the names =(), one of them was just so great, perfect guitar work!
i'm really looking forward to their upcoming album, this is goin to great record, i believe
pics coming later
and, Denis, thanks a lot for Spb vidz!

We Made God in April at the London Camden Barfly.
wow, i think it will be great
yesterday i saw Nadja + Aidan Baker double show.
First, i must say venue was awesome, suited the event perfectly. Old buildings around, no people, graffiti painter maany years ago... Good. Club itself was also very old school and underground, in best meaning possible. No security dudes (so noone checked pockets and bags so some guys brought alcohol with them, lol, reminded me of school days), little room with 10 rows of chairs (yay, like in school again). Well, there were more people than seats, so rather a lot of fans stayed or sitted on the floor.
Nadja didn't bring their merch with them and that was a little disappoint. I was planning to buy You Are As Dust t-shirt or some other. Whatever. We drank some alco stuff in order to be prepared and started waiting. Well, it didn't took long. Aidan came to the stage 20 minutes later than was officially scheduled. Heh, i'm used to 1-1,5 hours delay :D
So, he played his solo stuff, ambient, rather minimal. Videos behind him were rather narco. Again i felt what i usually feel: i like to listen ambient when i have kinda no choice or nothing else to do. Even think about buying/downlaod more stuff like that, but when it stops you immidiately loose interest to it. Of course, it's my extremely humble opinion. He play for about 40 minutes. A lot of flashing from cameras and that sucked. I though that it must be pain for Aidan. I was right. In break between Aidan and actual Nadja concert there was an announcement from venue representative who say that Aidan totally disliked all that flashing and if it continues they would immidiately stop playing.
Then Aidan and Leah both came to the stage. Sound was very good and full, no "instruments" missing. Though sometimes it seemed like Aidan was still playing his ambient, so minimal it was. They ended up with Long Dark Twenties, amazing song. All in all, it was good show, though Aidan and Leah looked tired or kinda without excitement. I can understand it, they had long tour. Anyway, it was not cool
They played for about an hour and left the stage. It was good night in good home-like atmosphere. Thanks droners.
Last night, Blue October. Great show... better than great.
TONIGHT

I just saw Balkan Beat Box and also Asian Dub Foundation. It was cool.
I saw a pink floyd cover band called Dark side of the Wall this saturday. They were fucking good. They were joined by Roger Waters live saxophonist aswell. Good times.
was at Ladytron show tonight. Maaaan. They were beautiful. They were wonderful. I mean, Mira Aroyo and Helen Marnie. I wasn't even looking at other members (they had more than 4 people, btw).
And Mira with Helen... I could watch them forever. As they dance, so old-fashioned and shy, so cute! We were singing all the songs. And dancing, dancing... They were wonderful
It doesn't matter that warm-up sucked (crappy russian undustrial band... actually they had one song i liked)
It doesn't matter Ladytron came on stage after almost 2 hours delay. It doesn't matter they played only about 10 songs...
Girls on stage were something worth being there.
Here is my schedule:

NIN Last night in Irvine, CA
There was nothing more incredible than hear the opening Now Im Nothing followed by Terrible lie. Also so great to hear The Becoming, Heresy and Mr Self Destruct. I really hope Trent does not take a long break because NIN will be miss a lot now that is going into the nothing.
Guano Apes, two days ago. Never been a huge fan of them, but I must say Sandra and the rest really impressed me with their performance. It's worth seeing them if you attend some of the European fests this summer.
saw the yeah yeah yeahs last thursday. awesome show with an awesome set. played material from almost all their releases, even the debut ep (art static). i definitely recommend seeing them
gogol bordello and man man this past sunday in chicago.

just saw 10 years last tuesday, coulda been better
Jonah Matrangah last night. First of all, I'm really happy to have finally seen this great man and musician live. He was in a great mood, asked the audience inbetween songs which one to play next. He played songs by all of his former projects, including the great Far, Gratitude, New End Original and of course Onelinedrawing. It was really cool that he also played Be Quiet And Drive and came up with a nice reference that Chino didn't like his version of it at first. Show lasted well over two hours. he was really nice and thankful for receiving so much love and kindness, and he gave back everything he had. Hopefully I'll see him many more times to come-
saw dredg in orlando last night and it was great. but their always good, so no suprise
2 x Deftones :
@ Pukkelpop last week (and saw Rival Schools few houres before).
@ Amsterdam Paradiso
coming up : Deftones @ Cabaret Vert (somewhere in France)
Deftones - London Forum
Next

NIN last show last night, it was epic and it was so far the best show I've seen in 2009. Lets hope for Deftones and Chimaira in fall.

got tickets for MEGADETH! nov 20th
Converge with Dethklok last night.
good stuff.
radiohead last year. i really need to get to another concert. hopefully coheed and cambria starts touring again or deftones come near by. i've been a fan 12 years and have yet to see a deftones show. the day i was coming home after seeing tool i looked in the paper and deftones were playing a small club show the next night but i had to get a ride home from montreal to nova scotia which is like 14 hours. i wasn't too keen on being stranded in montreal but if i was given the choice today i would TOTALLY walk home for like a week just for one night of defones. especially a amall club gig. i kick myself every day.
Cage the Elephant & Silversun Pickups... good show.
massive attack last month. was ok
I just saw Umphrey's 5 times within this past week.
Junius
Depeche Mode @lisbon 14 november, great gig, loved it =D
Phish tonight, niggas
megadeth nov 20th
went to see a semi local band called Hey Rosetta! tonight. i've been a big fan of theirs for a long time. everyone should check them out...well maybe not the "hardcore" kids. its kinda folky indie stuff which usually i HATE but these guys can write a hell of a song. their new album streams right off the home page at their website. give it a chiggity chiggity check.
http://heyrosetta.com/flash.htm
THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN are doing a gig here in London in a 300 capacity venue in February. I have tickets. Could be the best gig of the decade.

Deftones - Manchester last night!
Deftones/Mastodon/AIC in Atlanta on Sept 28th. I went with my husband which was nice cuz it was our first show together since 03 when we first started dating, but not nice because he's in the Army and couldn't get out of work early enough and we had to haul ass on the interstate the whole way and I hadn't had lunch and had to piss halfway but we didn't have time to stop. As it was, we did shave off like 45 minutes of drive time and didn't get a ticket but by the time we got through the gate and I ran to the bathroom, we missed Mastodon but we managed to get to the edge of the lawn as Deftones played the opening notes. So that kicked ass. Then he had PT at 6am the next morning and I had to get up with our son, but it was SOOO worth it!
Saw DJ Shadow the other night. Definitely the sickest show I've been to all year.
Deftones in Manchester last night. Fucking awesome.

so i only listened to some songs from outside =/ wish he could come back soon!
Umphrey's the past 5 days :)
Seether this past Friday 4-1-11. It was a kick ass show, Shaun Morgan put on an almost perfect performance. Fucking awesome show.

The one and only concert I've been to was in maybe '95? It was Green Day and the only reason I went was because the tickets were $5 and everybody else was going.
This was also the first time I got really, really high, the first time I got felt up by two guys at the same time, and I lost one of my shoes.

How was the meet?
I met them after the hollywood show but it was too quick, when I asked chino for a picture he said he had to go..but I got him to sign my album. I also asked abe for an autograph he said he had to open the bus for (I think it was stephs dad) and he swore hed be back but he never came out so he's the only one I didn't get an autograph from and steph chilled with us for a while, frank was actually really talkative, and sergio was the nicest one :)
Def Leppard - Heart - 9/17/11 - Tampa, FL
Deftones.. 5/28/11.. the Tabernacle in Atl..it was a Great show! Dillinger Escape Plan not so much.. wish it had just been Le Butcherettes and the Deftones
Anyone going to see APC at the Tabernacle on July 20th?
It was in December 2010 at Portugal. Campo Pequeno.

At the end i was really lucky to get a pic with Chino, hes the man, he appeared out of nowhere.

The Mars Volta - Red Hot Chili Peppers yesterday
TMV : Sound was terrible, it fucked the all experience up.
RHCP : Flea is really awesome, and the boys still got it definitely. I was there mostly in remembrance of the old days (BSSM, OHM), and they did play a reasonable number of old songs, so it made me a happy man !

The Expendables in Santa Barbara. Top notch as always!
This is the first time I edited the videos I got and mashed it into a "music video".
First time, and I already see a bunch of places where it could be better.
Gonna keep at this video editing thing. It's good to pass some time..
m83 in washington dc. was killer!
Just saw The Chariot in Portage, IN.
It was tight. They always put on a good show. Midway through the set Josh started moving the drummers set into the crowd piece by piece while he was playing. He'd played the rest of the show in the crowd.
Also: Listener and Former Thieves opened. They were both great.
I saw some band called umphrees mcgees or some shit in philly last night. They were surprisingly awesome.
Cancer Bats play Black Sabbath
Roger Waters The Wall
Now I can die :D What a fucking amazing show!
Chris Cornell
RAMMSTEIN 5/25/12

Black Sabbath - Birmingham 02 Academy (19 May)
Guns N' Roses - Liverpool Echo Arena (20 May)
metallica - rock in rio, lisbon (25 May)
Red Hot Chili Peppers
i went and saw ozzy osbourne and friends, it was supposed to be black sabbath until shit got fucked up. They barely played any sabbath songs, total let down, but fun anyways. It's weird how alcohol and a somewhat hyped crowd can make something pretty lame become pretty good.
Soundgarden - Shepherd's Bush Empire (Friday 9th November)

Just saw Deftones tonight, short set though. Still fucking amazing worth losing my voice.
Saw Whitechapel open for Gwar tonight and it was fucking great! I left after they finished their set, not a fan of Gwar.
I saw Cheap Trick on Dec. 27th. I was suprised at how good they were in their old age and at how many of the songs I know.
I saw a bluegrass band called Henhouse Prowlers on Saturday. They were fantastic. Lightning fast banjo, violin, and guitar. The violin players fingers were going so fast it looked like he was playing metal. Lulz.
Crosses last night. *sigh* Chino was in top form. I've never heard him sing so well live. And he was having so much fun. The whole band was. We all were. Truly *the* show to be at last night worldwide.
Just saw Queens of the Stone Age at the Hard Rock in Orlando. WOW. That's all I can really say. Well worth the money and catching a pick from the big man Josh himself.
Glassjaw, Deftones, at The Greek Theatre, November 1, 2013
Big fan
Caspian, 4 days ago. Surprised at how good that was !!!
BTBAM, Deafheaven, Intronaut about a week ago in suburban Chicago. Deafheaven especially was incredible to see live.
Soulfly
One of the best concerts I have been to!
Not a too great location with too many people (maybe 500)
And I'm sure Max was high as shit :)

Last Friday I saw Pentagram playing in my hometown.
I'm not a fan and never really listened to their music, but great rock acts don't play often here...
Good show, nothing spectacular, but for an old man he really kicks ass :)
Animals As Leaders on the 9th
best show I've ever attended in my 32 years of life
they are special
Born of Osiris for their hometown Christmas show in the Chicago suburbs. Fucking awesome experience. Santa, lots of Christmas lights, lots of booze. Good to know kids these days can still have an active, outstanding mosh pit.
Deftones/Incubus at Riverbend in Cincinnati. Deftones freaking killed it! First time seeing Deftones since Ozzfest 99. Incubus was ok.
Show before that was Failure and Janes Addiction at Commonground in Lansing, MI. Failure sounded great.
Next is Pumpkins/Manson at Riverbend.
Last night. At Pomona.. 10/28.
They played needles and pins... i have seen them play that since 2003...
The setlists continues to be the same... just rearrang . Abit different.
Merch. Was a bit wack nothing special.
Had a blast though
Went to Modest Mouse last night in Alpharetta Ga. Great show.
Nov 2004 at Norva in Norfolk, VA. Yeah long over do. Prior to that 2000. Hey I wrote a review on the 2004 show. I also listed the set list and I do not see it anywhere anymore on this website DeftonesWorld. What gives? Well I am lucky I still have the hard copy of my meeting the band outside the venue.
Deftones @ Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Great shows both, however the Chile show had an amazing sunset at the very beggining of Change, after a cloudy day, so I liked that show better.
I saw Deafheaven in Dallas I think last month, or maybe it was October. Hands down greatest concert I have ever been to.
And then two days later I saw Circa Survive on their Juturna 10 year tour which was also phenomenal. Damn fine one-two punch.
Next one I see is hopefully Deftones early next year. But Tool and the Cure are also coming and I might just have to spring for one of those...

And then two days later I saw Circa Survive on their Juturna 10 year tour which was also phenomenal. Damn fine one-two punch.
Next one I see is hopefully Deftones early next year. But Tool and the Cure are also coming and I might just have to spring for one of those...

I...don't really know to be honest. Both played some really intimate music. Both really....out there. I think that you really have to get into it to fully enjoy it, and nothing can distract you from it or the moment's gone.
Luckily, the sound in the venue was extremely good. Too bad some drunk guy kept talking to loudly. Motherfucker was kicked out though, but they should have done that way sooner.
deafheaven at bristol fleece last sunday. best gig i've been to in a long time - the guys voice is immense through a P.A & the venue had generally amazing acoustics... ill give it five bags of popcorn
Autolux, at Third Man Records in Nashville. They recorded it to vinyl as they were playing. Very cool show, and very cool experience to be a part of

Rihanna in Miami 🙃 it was so great and I got to see Drake (I'm no gay but man... I enjoyed his performance better than Rihanna). Before that I saw Houndmouth live in Fort Lauderdale. Great and nice guys, got to know them.

Saw Thrice tonight in SoCal . Last night of their tour and they absolutely killed it. What a band. Dustin said they were all sick too and they gave it there all. Dig that shit.

So fucking jealous
Saw The Dillinger Escape Plan on Sunday and it was amazing!
Last summer I saw Limp Bizkit at 013 Tilburg.
Great band but that Fred Durst attitude is sooo 2000. It's a joke.
Wes Borland saved the night.
greetings

Mare in Bristol last night! It was a little bit sloppy sometimes, and a few of my favourite parts didn't quite hit properly, but 'Tropics' was soooooo much better than on record. Plus their singing/screaming is undeniably powerful, especially in a live setting. Was really hoping to hear some new material, but it looks like the EP's all there's ever gonna be, which is perfect lil nugget anyway, so can't complain!
Animals As Leaders yesterday...
Damn these guys are AMAZING !
Though it's not my preferred choice of music, that Tosin dude is such a virtuoso, it's really amazing to just see them play...
I actually think animals as leaders suck

Nah, they don't suck at all. They are all very talented musicians. You just don't enjoy them.
In my opinion, they just don't seem at all talented. The songs lack structure, they lack interest, they lack variety, they lack hooks, riffs, vocal acrobatics, choruses, verses, musical accomplishment. I don't really hear it, but if you like it, that's all that matters!
A Day To Remember in Brussels few weeks ago.
It was ok, just ok.
Coming up next : Korn, next week. \m/
