Title: Looking for extra simmilar artists to Deftones
Post by: altctrl on Jul 07, 2007, 11:57 AM
Hello all of You out there _ Verry sorry for my English, because I forgot almoust 1 000 words from the day marijuana blowed my brain up, and I'm from Serbia - south-east Europe _
so ..I am now on the psychiatry sessions for almost 3 years, and I drink a lot of medicine ..and now, well five, six days already I feel verry sic _ It's not an deseas, it's some kind of depressed situation, but more explicit (again, sorry for my English) _

so, I can't do nothing, just drinking drogs for relax and drogs for depress, but they are not helping, because I know that ..when I'm straight, I can listen the music I love the most - System Of A down and I don't have to eat nothing ..well, you understand me right ..I'm pretty fat, and I just want to become a litle tinner and I listen a lot (fucking lot) of system of a down, and when I'm starwing, I do not eat, and that way I become sexy _ lol, you know ..

;D

hehe, so ..Anything I CAN listen to are Deftones theese days, and they get me board //well, you know - it's not System, so it just get bored sometimes ..and if I spoke this post well, and yu understoud me OK, help please, tell me wich band to listen to ..just few of them, you just write a post with few verry good bends for my taste and I'll fucking be 250% happy, I swear ..

so, thank you if you could help me ..I tell you, I'm verry sick - it's fucking undefined, but for my psychiatrist it is just depress . fuck him, and fuck ALL the world, I just want to be free and have beautyful life _

Some advice for you:

1. Listen to Thrice.
2. Don't ever smoke marijuana again.
3. Eat when you are hungry, but don't eat too much unhealthy stuff.
4. Work out.

Cabezones was awesome! But hey, the ones who say Glassjaw and Thrice are bands that can be similar to Deftones can't possibly mean it. Really? It's goddamn punk!

you could try listening to Korn, or even Tool, possibly Trust Company?

Linea 77 definetly sound like deftones..mostly on ketchup suicide and happinnes makes kids paranoid cds...kind of like those cds simply cause of that...the rest of their cds they try to sound more original, and  i kind of wish they were still deftones clones cause they were much better then...

you're not going to find a band that sounds alot like deftones, except maybe teamsleep i guess , but deftones are one of a kind., and so are all the other bands listed. The'yre progressive in the same way though, some classic 90's stuff.

This band, called In Confesso, is pretty similar to Deftones.
They're releasing their debut album in January, I think. My band, Brugada, are warming up for them on their release-concerts.
Check them out here!

http://www.myspace.com/inconfesso

Brugada might be slightly similar to Deftones as well.

These Arms Are Snakes have a little bit of similarity to Deftones in a song structure and aggression style sense. Their first album has some tracks that could be on Around The Fur in my mind. Not that they're exactly the same but they're similar.

there are thousands and thoundsans of bands that are similar to deftones, one shittier than the other. thats what happens when great bands get more or less big.

ghostride doesnt necessarily sound like them completley but some songs are kind of deftonish-and very good.  listen to white wings of death and snowflakes that kill for example

Yeah it's a shame Ghostride is no more... they made some kick ass music... I will probably get the shit bashed out of me for saying this, but Ghostride could've been greater than Will Haven and Tinfed combined, if they kept going with it...
